What is in Pond Cleanse?

Natural Waterscapes' Pond Cleanse is a blend of beneficial bacteria, enzymes, and barley. Our bacteria contains 5 billion colony forming units per gram. Our formula contains barley straw and cool water bacteria to allow treatments to be effective in water as low as 38°F.

How does pond bacteria work?

When bacteria packets are applied to the pond, the outer film begins to melt. The good bacteria disperse in the water and get right to work. Beneficial bacteria for ponds digest nutrients like ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite. Nitrogen based nutrients are converted to a gas which safely releases into the atmosphere.

Organic matter from fish waste, dead algae, and stirred up muck are also broken down by Pond Cleanse bacteria.

Uses for Pond Cleanse

Our beneficial pond bacteria is particularly well suited for Bass Ponds, Tilapia Farming, Trout Ponds, Catfish Raising Ponds, and Farm Ponds where ammonia can be a threat to fish health. Applying Pond Cleanse in any aquaculture system will help to cycle nitrogen more quickly and improve fish health.

How to use Pond Cleanse:

Treat every 2 weeks when water temperature is above 38°F. Toss in 2 packets per 1/4 acre or 8 packets per acre. Packets quickly dissolve in water. 

Do not use on same day as chemical treatment. Chemical treatments kill beneficial bacteria.
