This includes cyanobacteria , filamentous algae , and chara . This special algaecide targets

in ponds and lakes.

GreenClean Granular Algaecide is a safe, non-copper solution for controlling algae.
GreenClean is different from regular copper-based algaecides. It contains no copper,
chlorine, or phosphates. This makes it safe for fish, aquatic plants, pets, and wildlife. Its
EPA-registered, organic formula provides effective algae control without harmful residues or
environmental damage.

GreenClean uses a strong oxidation process to kill algae on contact. It breaks down algae cells
right away and releases important oxygen back into the water as it biodegrades.
This improves water quality. It also stops the growth of cyanobacteria and other types of algae.

GreenClean Granular Algaecide is formulated to treat many common types of algae,

How to Apply GreenClean Granular Algaecide
● For best results, treat in the morning when water temperatures are warm, and water
surfaces are calm.
● Turn off any water circulation for 10 to 20 minutes during application.
● Broadcast Green Clean Pro over the surface of the pond or lake with mechanical
spreader or by hand (gloved hand).
● Apply directly to areas affected by algae and skim dead algae from the surface to prevent
future growth.

*When treating for cyanobacteria, re-apply recommended dosage rate 2 days after initial
treatment for best results. Following GreenClean treatment, apply MetaFloc to bind phosphorus
released from the dying cyanobacteria cells. Phosphorus removal is important to the long-term
control of cyanobacteria.

Heavy algae growth: 40 - 200 lbs per acre foot
4 - 20 lbs per 1,000 gallons
Low algae growth: 4 - 20 lbs per acre foot
2 - 6 lbs per 1,000 gallons
Treating surface cyanobacteria: 200 lbs per acre
Treating nostoc algae: 8 - 20 lbs per 1,000 square feet
