How This Solar Fountain Works

Surface aeration improves pond oxygen levels by lifting large volumes of water into the air, increasing oxygen transfer while creating surface agitation. The Aerify system pumps 500 GPM through a stainless steel, water-cooled DC motor and proprietary propeller assembly.

As water is propelled upward and outward, it breaks into droplets, increasing contact with atmospheric oxygen before returning to the pond. This circulation helps reduce stagnation, improves surface mixing, and supports healthier aerobic conditions.

Standard cable length is 100 feet, with extensions available up to 400 feet to accommodate panel placement for optimal sun exposure.

Operation begins automatically during daylight hours once sufficient solar energy is available. Because this system does not include battery storage, it will not operate at night or during heavy overcast conditions.

Limitations & Operational Considerations

This is a daylight-operating system. It does not run after sunset and does not provide continuous 24-hour aeration. Ponds with severe oxygen depletion, heavy organic loading, or fish populations requiring nighttime oxygen support may require supplemental bottom-diffused aeration.

Minimum operating depth is 24 inches. Ponds shallower than this may experience performance limitations.

Solar output varies based on geographic location, seasonal sun angle, shading, and weather conditions. Proper panel placement with full sun exposure is critical to consistent performance.
