Aquamax Sportfish Feed Instructions:

Feed Trained Bass:

Feed-trained largemouth bass are popular predator fish with today’s pond management. Largemouth bass that are not feed-trained are unlikely to respond to this product. However, largemouth bass originating from a hatchery are likely to have been feed-trained.

Recommendations:

  • Peek feeding at temperatures between 55° and 85°F
  • Can consume 3% of their body weight daily in food while maintaining predator role
  • Should be fed 2-4 times daily during peak months of consumption

Bluegill:

Bluegill rely on a consistent feeding program.

Recommendations:

  • Peek feeding begins each Spring starting at temperatures in the low 50°s 
  • Feeding to continue into Fall/early Winter, or until feeding activity ceases
  • Feeding activity varies based on weather and temperature
  • Feed an amount that will be consumed in 15 minutes
  • Should be fed up to 3 times daily to maximize growth

Hybrid Striped Bass:

Hybrid striped bass do well diversifying a sport pond or populating a stand-alone fishery. They readily eat pelleted fish food and can grow quickly.

Recommendations:

  • Peek feeding at temperatures between 55° and 85°F
  • Should be fed in deepest water possible
  • Feed an amount that will be consumed in 15 minutes
  • Should be fed 1-3 times daily

Trout:

Rainbow Trout are a cold water fish.

Recommendations:

  • Peek feeding at temperatures between mid 40°s and low 60°s
  • Can consume 3% of their body weight daily in food
  • Should be fed 1-4 times daily based on consumption

Consumption varies based on water temperature, time of the year, nutritional needs of the fish, other available food sources, and fish familiarity with particle feeds.
